About McNab... 

McNab is a highly technical company with a long history of analyzer/controller and sensor development, concentrating in the fluid and power measurement fields.

Among the collection of patents and trademarks displayed in our offices are several dated 1912. These represent some of the earliest patents granted for instrument design. More recent McNab developments of importance to industry include advances in digital monitoring and data-coupled FM/FM telemetry. Over the years our technology has keep abreast of the many changing requirements of our customers.

McNab has been a privately owned company since 1909. Now in our second generation of management, in place since 1975, the company has been expanding into global markets with its quality products and services. The high quality and complexity of the equipment demands a closely knit, coordinated team effort on the part of the McNab engineers, designers, and production groups.

Shipboard monitors and sensors are McNab's historic foundation. Our electronics have been long recognized as the standard for evaluation when new ships go to sea trials. Throughout the marine industry, McNab cells and sensors are specified to assure accuracy and reliability. McNab has been the longest uninterrupted supplier of certain key military and commercial instrumentation in the United States than any other company.

In 1986 McNab's extensive background was augmented with the acquisition of the Jacoby Tarbox's Optical Product's Line. This gave us expanded instrument lines for material analysis, quality control and smoke density applications and extended our customer base to include the food, beverage and chemical processing industries. The Optical Products have been well-received in major industrial sites in the United States, Europe and Asia, and represent a dominant technical force in fluid measurement, utilizing optical, visual, near-infrared and ultraviolet technologies.

We are located in Buena Vista, VA. Our offices include our research & development laboratory, design engineering department, modern manufacturing plant, and automatic testing facilities to evaluate our products. McNab's Quality Assurance Process meets Mil-I-45208.

McNab's European office was established in 1987 to allow us to better serve our European customers. This service depot is centrally located in Germany; a convenient two-hour or less plane ride to most of Western Europe. This office provides sales, service, translation, warehousing, parts and repair facilities for our installed European instrumentation.

McNab has earned its reputation for building cost-effective industrial and marine products, all of which meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Our instrumentation has gained special recognition for the design and development of chemical quality monitors for use in difficult applications.
