McNab Press Releases

Oct 04 - Anton Steinecker incorporates McNab Yeast Counter in their Rodic Brewery, Novi Sad, Serbia

Steinecker GMBH, Freising, Germany, and McNab, Incorporated of Mount Vernon, New York, announce the installation of the McNab HSA4 Inline Yeast Counting Analyzer in Steinecker’s RODIC brewery in Novi Sad, Serbia. This analyzer will advance yeast pitching techniques of the automatic brewery control system. It is believed that the analyzer will improve continuous blending in the yeast fermentation process. This advancement is made, in large part, by the use of the new McNab HSA4 Inline Yeast Counting Analyzer located in the yeast slurry line. The McNab HSA4 Analyzer measures the cell count to 3.E9 (billion) cells per milliliter.

Oct 04 - Golar Management, LTD. Announces Installation of McNab MDM/ATC Salinity System

Today, Golar Management Ltd., London and McNab of Mount Vernon, New York, announce the successful installation of the McNab MDM/ATC Salinity Indicating System Analyzer aboard their ship the LNG Hilli.  The McNab system was chosen for its history of successful operation aboard marine vessels.  The MDM will measure up to 10 channels of salinity simultaneously.  This advancement is made by the use of the Summary Alarm Concept.

Oct 04- Jever verifies McNab Yeast Counter in their Brewery

Today, the Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever, Germany and McNab of Mount Vernon, New York, announce the successful operation of the McNab Yeast Counting Analyzer in their brewery facility. The McNab system was chosen over several alternatives. The period of operation has been greater than one year. It is believed that the analyzer will improve production regularity in the yeast fermentation process. This advancement is made, by the use of the Inline McNab Optical Yeast Counter located in the yeast slurry line. The McNab HSA4 analyzer has various ranges. The range suitable for the yeast slurry line is from 0-3.2E9 (billion) cells per milliliter.

May 02 - McNab Optical Transmitter Conforms to Nephelometric Dairy Standards

Weldtek, Limited, of Elizabethtown, PA, a sub-contractor of United Dairy Farmers, and McNab, Incorporated announce the complete installation of the McNab model AP-VIS at the Biazzo Dairy Products plant in Ridgefield, NJ.

Dec 01 - Yeast Pitching SKID successfully installed in China brewery

SOEBORG, DENMARK/MOUNT VERNON, NY, USA - December 2001 - Alfa Laval/Scandi-Brew and McNab jointly submit this press release on the successful installation of the Alfa Laval Yeast Pitching Skid at the Jiamusi Brewery in China. Mr. Mark Yu of Scandi-Brew, Beijing, China, confirmed that the McNab Yeast Pitching Skid met and exceeded all expectations.

Yeast Process Skids For Brewery Applications

McNab, Incorporated has announced it capabilities to produce modular process skids for brewery applications. McNab skids are custom developed for 2" to 6" (50mm to 150mm) pipes with application-specific instrumentation and controls for yeast pitching, dosing, cropping, transfer and other blending operations.

Fermentation Vessel Cell Monitor

McNab, Inc. has introduced a line of Tank Yeast Analyzers, designed for automatic and continuous analysis of cell growth in fermentation vessels. The Model HSD line will monitor high or low concentrations or fluorescence.

Kieselguhr Dosage System

McNab, Incorporated has introduced an automatic Kieselguhr Dosage System for controlling body feed to diatomaceous earth filters. The new Model DSC replaces manual dosage and/or delta-P feedback control Systems, and is said to match Kieselguhr dosage with the beer solids content, thus reducing material and disposal costs for breweries.

Linear Yeast Cropping Analyzer

McNab, Incorporated has introduced an optical process fluid analyzer for in-pipe measurement of percent solids of yeast by volume. The new yeast monitor measures high concentrations directly in the process pipe to allow real-time, highly accurate yeast solids measurement and cropping to the brink. According to the company, the instrument produces a signal linear to yeast-percentage-solids (0 - 75%) and features a correction for yeast viability factor, which reduces waste and allows for automatic control without need for time-consuming laboratory analysis.

Optical Ethyl Alcohol Meter for Process Control

McNab, Inc. announces a NIR ethyl alcohol monitor and controller for process and quality control. The Model KSA is useful for measuring percentage levels and fluids that must have blending to meet specifications.

Filter Performance Monitor for Brewery Applications

McNab Model DSB brewery haze meter is suitable for applications involving beer, wort, as well as other brightness measurements.

Metal Particle Detection in Fluids down to 30 nanometers

McNab Model HSB, using new advanced optics, offers greater detection, sensitivity, and measurement of very low levels of particles suspended in fluids.

Optical Density Meter for Control

McNab Model HSA 1 analyzer measures turbidity, color, concentration, or clarity across the pipe in real time. It is also useful for measuring concentration levels and fluids that must have fillers added to meet specifications.

In-Pipe, Non-Clogging, PPM Measurement eliminates over use of expensive ingredients

The unique straight-through turbidity flow cell tube makes the McNab HSA system self-draining. Furthermore, 3A, FDA, and USDA standards are met in this HSA flow cell design. The heavy duty thick walled component make this a durable instrument system.
